Online Presentation for Student-Athletes and their Parents: Athletics in College

On Thursday, November 13th the Centurion Foundation presented an informative session providing an overview of NCAA eligibility requirements for student-athletes. This presentation covered recent updates to NCAA policies, review academic certification standards, and shared best practices for supporting both prospective and current student-athletes through the NCAA eligibility process.

Featured speaker, Jonathan McKenzie, serves as the NCAA Eligibility Director at San Diego State University (SDSU). In this role, he oversees the evaluation and certification of student-athlete eligibility, ensuring full compliance with NCAA and CSU institutional regulations. McKenzie also collaborates across campus departments to support student-athletes’ housing, meals, and transportation needs. Before joining SDSU, he spent ten years coaching basketball at both the high school and junior college levels—experiences that inspire his passion for helping student-athletes thrive academically and athletically.
